Provider Spotlight: E. Ray Claud, PA-C

We are so pleased to feature E. Ray Claud, PA-C, this month in our provider spotlight series! Ray is a physician’s assistant, who has been with Loven Dermatology for 16 years. He sees patients at our Springfield location, specializing in a range of dermatological care and treatment. 

Background and Education 

Ray received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in December 1999, followed by his certification from The National Certification of Physician Assistants in November 2003. He then joined Loven Dermatology in September 2004, as a physician assistant. Ray and his wife Susan live in Clarksville. 

Specialties and Expertise 

As a physician’s assistant, Ray provides general dermatological services and performs minor procedures under the guidance of our physicians. 

Questions and Answers with Ray Claud 

What is your favorite part of your job? “My favorite parts of this job are learning new things and comforting patients.” 

What’s your no. 1 skincare tip? “Protect your skin from the sun. Always wear sunscreen and keep your skin protected by wearing hats, gloves and avoiding too much sun exposure.” 

What is your favorite service? “Microneedling, which is a procedure where small injuries are made to the skin to stimulate regeneration and collagen production. You can see improvement quickly with this treatment.” 

What do you want people to know about Loven Dermatology? “I want people to know that we have several offices, including one in Springfield, to best care for our patients where they need us.” 

Fun facts: Ray’s favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day! Ask him why, and he’ll tell you… he loves chocolate!
